Wild Hunt Steel is operated by Western Trading Company Inc. (collectively, “Wild Hunt Steel,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). We operate the website wildhuntsteel.com and provide the related online store, products, customer support, content, features, and services (collectively, the “Services”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, retain, and protect personal information when you visit our website, create an account, place or attempt to place an order, contact us, subscribe to marketing, submit a review, or otherwise interact with the Services. It also explains the privacy rights and choices that may be available to you.
By accessing or using the Services, you acknowledge that you have read this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with this policy, please do not use the Services. If this Privacy Policy conflicts with our Terms of Service concerning the collection, use, or disclosure of personal information, this Privacy Policy will control for those matters.
1. Personal Information We Collect
“Personal information” means information that identifies, relates to, describes, or can reasonably be linked with an individual. It does not include information that has been anonymized or de-identified so that it cannot reasonably be associated with a person.

- Customer-service information: messages, emails, contact-form submissions, product questions, order inquiries, complaints, warranty-related information, and any documents or photographs you voluntarily provide.

- Website-usage information: pages viewed, links clicked, searches, referring pages, time spent on the website, products viewed, items added to a cart, checkout activity, and interactions with emails or advertisements.
- Marketing information: subscription status, marketing preferences, campaign interactions, and information used to measure or personalize marketing where permitted.
- Reviews and user-submitted content: ratings, reviews, photographs, comments, and other information you choose to make available through the Services.

2. How We Collect Personal Information
We may collect personal information from the following sources:
- Directly from you, such as when you place an order, create an account, subscribe to emails, contact customer service, complete a form, request a return, or submit a review.

3. How We Use Personal Information
We may use personal information for the following purposes:
- Provide the Services: operate the website, display products, maintain carts and wishlists, process payments, confirm orders, arrange fulfillment and shipping, provide delivery updates, and complete returns, refunds, exchanges, or cancellations.
- Manage customer accounts: create and administer accounts, remember preferences, save addresses, and provide account-related notices.
- Provide customer support: respond to questions, investigate delivery or product issues, communicate about orders, handle complaints, and provide after-sales assistance.
- Improve our store: understand how customers use the Services, troubleshoot problems, test features, improve navigation, evaluate product interest, and develop or improve our offerings.
- Marketing and advertising: send promotional messages where permitted, measure campaign performance, understand customer interests, and show relevant advertisements on our website or other services. Where consent is required, we use non-essential cookies or similar technologies only after obtaining the required consent.
- Security and fraud prevention: authenticate users, verify transactions, identify suspicious activity, prevent fraud and abuse, protect accounts, secure the Services, and enforce our policies.
- Legal and business purposes: comply with tax, accounting, consumer-protection, recordkeeping, and other legal obligations; respond to lawful requests; establish or defend legal claims; and protect our customers, business, property, and rights.
4. Legal Bases for Processing
If laws in your location require us to identify a legal basis for processing personal information, we may rely on one or more of the following:
- Performance of a contract, such as processing and delivering an order or handling a return.
- Legitimate interests, such as operating and improving our business, preventing fraud, securing the Services, and providing customer support, where those interests are not overridden by your rights.
- Consent, such as for certain marketing communications, advertising technologies, or non-essential cookies. You may withdraw consent where applicable.
- Compliance with legal obligations, including tax, accounting, consumer-protection, and lawful government requirements.
5. Cookies and Similar Technologies
We and our service providers, including Shopify, use cookies and similar technologies to operate the store, remember preferences, keep the website secure, understand website performance, measure traffic, and, where permitted, personalize content or advertising.
These technologies may include:
- Essential cookies, which are necessary for functions such as cart management, checkout, security, authentication, and privacy preferences.
- Functional cookies, which remember choices and improve website features.
- Analytics cookies, which help us understand visits, navigation, and store performance.
- Advertising cookies, which may help measure advertising, limit repeated ads, or provide advertising based on activity, subject to applicable law and your choices.
You can manage cookies using our cookie banner where available and through your browser settings. Blocking some cookies may affect store functions, including the cart or checkout. For more information about cookies used by Shopify, review the Shopify Cookie Policy.
6. Marketing Communications
If you subscribe to promotional emails or other marketing, we may use your contact information to send product news, offers, or other promotions. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in a marketing email or by contacting us. Opting out of marketing does not stop transactional messages relating to orders, payments, shipping, returns, account security, or customer-service requests.
7. How We Disclose Personal Information
We may disclose personal information when reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy, including to:
- Shopify, which hosts and supports our online store and processes information needed to provide Shopify services.
- Payment providers and financial institutions, to authorize and process transactions, manage disputes, and prevent fraud.
- Fulfillment, warehouse, delivery, and shipping providers, to prepare, ship, track, and deliver orders or process returns.
- Technology and business-service providers, such as website hosting, cloud storage, security, analytics, communications, email, customer support, and professional advisers.
- Advertising and marketing partners, where permitted by law and subject to applicable consent and opt-out rights.
- Government authorities, regulators, courts, or other parties, when disclosure is required by law, valid legal process, or reasonably necessary to protect rights, safety, customers, or the Services.
- A buyer, successor, or other relevant party in a business transaction, such as a merger, acquisition, reorganization, financing, sale of assets, or insolvency proceeding.
- Other parties at your direction or with your consent, such as when you use a third-party integration or request that we provide information to a carrier.
We do not disclose payment-card information for unrelated third-party marketing. Service providers are permitted to process information only for the relevant services or as otherwise allowed by law and their applicable agreements.
8. Targeted Advertising, Sale, and Sharing
Certain privacy laws use broad definitions of “sale” or “sharing” that may include disclosing identifiers or online activity to advertising partners for targeted advertising, even when no money is exchanged. Depending on the technologies enabled on our store and where you live, some advertising-related disclosures may be treated as a sale, sharing, or targeted advertising under applicable law.
You may submit an applicable opt-out request through our Data Sharing Opt-Out page. Where legally required and supported by our systems, we also process an enabled Global Privacy Control signal as an opt-out request for the browser or device sending the signal. If we can associate that device with a Shopify account, the preference may also be applied to that account.
9. Our Relationship with Shopify
Our store is hosted by Shopify. Shopify collects and processes personal information about your access to and use of the Services to provide and improve its platform and consumer services. Information submitted through our store may be transmitted to Shopify and other service providers in countries different from your own.
If Shopify Network Intelligence or other enhanced Shopify services are enabled, Shopify may process information about your interactions with our store, other merchants, and Shopify services to provide enhanced features. In certain circumstances, Shopify acts as an independent controller and is responsible for responding to requests concerning its own processing.
For more information, review the Shopify Consumer Privacy Policy. You can also access the Shopify Privacy Portal.
10. Third-Party Websites and Services
The Services may contain links to websites, social networks, applications, or services operated by third parties. We do not control their privacy or security practices and are not responsible for their content or handling of information. Review the privacy notice of any third-party service before providing personal information. The presence of a link does not necessarily mean that we endorse the third party.
Information you post publicly or through a public review, social-media feature, or similar service may be visible to other people and may be copied or used outside our control. Do not include sensitive information in public submissions.
11. Data Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards intended to protect personal information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, alteration, or disclosure. However, no security system, website, or electronic transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for using a secure method when communicating sensitive information. Please contact us promptly if you believe your account or personal information has been compromised.
12. Data Retention
We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy. The appropriate retention period depends on factors such as the type of information, whether an account or transaction remains active, warranty and customer-service needs, fraud prevention, dispute resolution, contract enforcement, and tax, accounting, legal, or regulatory requirements.
When personal information is no longer reasonably required, we may delete, anonymize, or securely isolate it, subject to technical limitations and lawful recordkeeping requirements. A deletion request may not require us to delete information that we must retain or are otherwise permitted to keep by law.
13. International Data Transfers
We and our service providers may transfer, store, or process personal information outside the state, province, or country where you live, including in the United States, Canada, and other locations in which Shopify or our providers operate.
Where required for transfers from the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, or Switzerland, appropriate safeguards may be used, such as adequacy decisions, approved contractual clauses, or other legally recognized transfer mechanisms.
14. Children’s Privacy
The Services are not directed to children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age at which they may lawfully provide it without parental consent. If you are a parent or guardian and believe a child provided us with personal information, contact us so we can review and, where required, delete it.
We do not knowingly sell or share, as those terms are defined under applicable privacy laws, personal information of individuals under 16 years of age.
15. Your Privacy Rights
Depending on your location and subject to applicable exceptions, you may have one or more of the following rights:
- Access or know: request information about the personal information we collect, use, or disclose and obtain a copy of it.
- Correction: request correction of inaccurate personal information.
- Deletion: request deletion of personal information, subject to legal exceptions.
- Portability: request a portable copy of certain personal information.
- Restriction or objection: request restriction of, or object to, certain processing where applicable.
- Withdraw consent: withdraw consent for future processing where processing is based on consent. Withdrawal does not affect earlier lawful processing.
- Opt out: opt out of certain sale, sharing, targeted advertising, or profiling activities where applicable.
- Appeal: appeal our response to a privacy request where local law provides that right.
- Non-discrimination: exercise applicable privacy rights without unlawful discrimination.
To exercise a right, email us at sales@wildhuntsteel.com and clearly describe your request. For sale, sharing, or targeted-advertising choices, you may also use our Data Sharing Opt-Out page.
We may need to verify your identity before completing a request. Verification may require confirming information associated with your account or transaction. We will use verification information only to process the request. If an authorized agent submits a request for you, we may require proof of authorization and may also ask you to verify your identity directly. We will respond within the period required by applicable law.
16. Additional Disclosures for Certain U.S. Residents
Residents of certain U.S. states may have rights concerning the categories of personal information collected, the purposes of collection and use, the categories of sources, and the categories of recipients. The relevant information is described throughout Sections 1–8 of this policy.
We may collect the following broad statutory categories: identifiers; customer records; commercial information; internet or electronic-network activity; approximate geolocation; and inferences drawn from interactions with the Services. We collect and use these categories for order fulfillment, customer service, store operation, security, fraud prevention, analytics, marketing, legal compliance, and the other purposes described above.
We do not use or disclose sensitive personal information for purposes that require a separate right to limit under applicable California law. We do not knowingly sell or share personal information of consumers under 16.
17. European, UK, and Swiss Privacy Rights
If you are located in the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, or Switzerland, applicable law may give you rights of access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection, portability, and withdrawal of consent. You may also lodge a complaint with the data-protection authority where you live or work or where you believe a violation occurred.
18. Do Not Track
Because there is no generally accepted industry standard for responding to browser “Do Not Track” signals, we do not respond to them as a standalone signal. Where required by law and supported by our systems, we recognize Global Privacy Control as described in Section 8.
19. Complaints
If you have a concern about how we handle personal information, please contact us first so we can review it. Depending on where you live, you may have the right to appeal our response or complain to your state attorney general, privacy regulator, or local data-protection authority.
20. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technologies, Services, or legal obligations. We will post the revised policy on this page and update the “Last updated” date. Where required by law, we will provide additional notice or obtain consent.
