1. Overview

This website is operated by Western Trading Company Inc., trading as Wild Hunt Steel (“we,” “us,” or “our”).

These Terms of Service govern your access to wildhuntsteel.com, use of our online services, and purchases from our store. Our online store is powered by Shopify.

By using our website or placing an order, you agree to these Terms and our linked policies:

Nothing in these Terms limits consumer rights that cannot legally be excluded.

2. Eligibility to Purchase

You must be legally capable of entering into a binding contract to place an order.

For knives and other age-restricted products, our store requires purchasers to be at least 18 years old, or the greater minimum age required at their location.

You must be legally permitted to purchase and receive the ordered product at the delivery address. We may request reasonable age verification or decline an order when necessary to comply with applicable restrictions.

If you place an order on behalf of an organization, you confirm that you have authority to do so.

3. Product Safety and Responsible Use

Our products include sharp knives and edged tools. Handle, use, maintain, transport, and store them carefully.

Keep sharp products away from children and unauthorized users. Use products only for appropriate, lawful purposes and follow the care instructions supplied with the product or published on its page.

Customers must check restrictions applicable to purchasing, possessing, carrying, and using the product at their location. A product’s availability on our website does not establish that it may lawfully be purchased or carried everywhere.

These responsibilities do not remove our obligations concerning product accuracy, defects, or safety.

4. Product Descriptions and Specifications

We aim to describe our products accurately, including their materials, dimensions, features, included accessories, and appearance.

Natural materials such as wood, bone, horn, and leather may vary in grain, color, markings, and texture. Blade patterns and hand-finished details may also vary where described on the product page.

These variations do not permit us to supply a materially different product or omit advertised components.

Technical specifications, including steel composition, hardness, and layer counts, apply only when expressly stated for the product. We aim to support measurable claims with appropriate product information.

If an item arrives damaged, defective, incomplete, or materially different from its description, contact us under our Return & Refund Policy.

5. Prices, Taxes, and Checkout Charges

Prices are displayed in the currency shown on the website and confirmed at checkout.

Applicable taxes and selected shipping charges are displayed before you complete your purchase. Review the product quantities, delivery address, shipping service, and total before submitting your order.

Price changes do not apply retrospectively to accepted orders. If a pricing error affects your order, we will contact you to explain the issue and available options. We will not charge an increased amount without your agreement.

6. Orders and Availability

An automated order confirmation acknowledges that we received your order. Acceptance occurs when we confirm dispatch or otherwise expressly accept the order.

Products are subject to availability. Adding a product to your cart does not reserve stock.

We may hold, decline, or cancel an order for a legitimate reason, including payment failure, suspected fraud, stock errors, material listing errors, legal restrictions, or delivery limitations.

If we cancel a paid order, we will refund the amount paid for the cancelled products and any applicable shipping charges to the original payment method. Your payment provider may require additional time to display the credit.

7. Payment and Customer Information

Available payment methods are displayed at checkout.

You confirm that you are authorized to use the selected payment method and that your billing, contact, and delivery information is accurate.

Payments are handled through our checkout and authorized payment providers. We do not ask you to send complete payment-card details by ordinary email.

8. Shipping Destinations and Charges

We currently accept orders for delivery within the United States, subject to applicable product and carrier restrictions.

Standard Shipping is free. An optional Express Shipping service costs $15, where available at checkout.

Available services, processing times, and estimated transit times are described in our Shipping Policy and shown at checkout where applicable.

We do not accept orders for destinations outside our supported delivery area.

9. Processing and Delivery

Order processing and carrier transit are separate stages. Please review the Shipping Policy for the applicable estimates.

Estimated delivery dates are not guaranteed unless expressly identified as guaranteed. If we become aware of a material fulfillment delay, we will communicate the available information and applicable options.

Weather, carrier disruptions, address problems, and other events may affect delivery. These circumstances do not remove our obligations or your applicable cancellation and refund rights.

If your order appears delayed, lost, or incorrectly delivered, contact sales@wildhuntsteel.com so we can investigate and explain the next steps.

10. Delivery Addresses and Undeliverable Orders

You are responsible for providing a complete and accurate delivery address.

Refusing delivery or leaving a package unclaimed does not automatically register a return request. Contact us so we can arrange the appropriate next steps.

Any applicable charges relating to customer-caused delivery problems will be explained before a refund is finalized, as described in our policies and where permitted by law. Such charges do not apply to delivery failures caused by our error or returns made through our authorized free return process.

11. Standard Return Eligibility

We accept eligible standard return requests within 30 calendar days after delivery.

For a change-of-mind return, products must be:

New and unused.
In their original product packaging.
Complete with their original sheath, case, accessories, and all supplied components.
Free from customer-caused damage, corrosion, wear, sharpening, or unauthorized modifications.

Used or slightly used products are not eligible for standard change-of-mind returns.

For knife sets, all knives and supplied components must be returned together unless we agree otherwise.

These requirements apply across eligible products, including individual knives, folding knives, chef sets, and collectible products.

12. Return Packaging and Authorization

Contact sales@wildhuntsteel.com before mailing a return. Include your order number, product name, and reason for returning the item.

We will provide authorization, the confirmed return address, and shipping instructions.

Original product packaging is required for standard change-of-mind returns. Use a suitable protective shipping box where necessary and secure all blades, sharp edges, and points.

If packaging arrived damaged or components were missing on delivery, contact us for instructions. These circumstances do not automatically prevent a claim for a damaged, defective, incomplete, or incorrect order.

A return request submitted within the 30-day window remains eligible while we arrange instructions, provided the applicable return conditions are met.

13. Return Costs and Refunds

Authorized returns are free by mail. We provide a prepaid return shipping label or arrange another return method at no cost to you.

There are no restocking or refund-processing fees.

If you purchase your own return shipping without our prior agreement, reimbursement of that separately purchased service is not guaranteed.

For an eligible return, we issue the refund within 10 calendar days after receiving the returned product, including inspection time.

Refunds are made to the original payment method. Store credit is provided only if you expressly agree. Your payment provider may require additional time to display the credit.

14. Refund Amount and Original Shipping Charges

Eligible refunds include the price paid for the returned product and applicable refundable tax.

Because Standard Shipping is free, no original Standard Shipping charge is deducted.

The original $15 Express Shipping charge is normally non-refundable for a change-of-mind return after that service has been provided.

For returns resulting from our error or a verified damaged, defective, or incorrect product, applicable original shipping charges will also be refunded where appropriate or required by law.

15. Damaged, Defective, Incorrect, or Incomplete Products

Contact sales@wildhuntsteel.com promptly if your order arrives with a problem, preferably within 7 calendar days after delivery.

Include your order number, a description of the issue, and photographs of the product and available packaging where possible.

Avoid further use, sharpening, modification, or attempted repair while we review the issue.

After verification, we will arrange an appropriate replacement, refund, or other remedy agreed with you. Any required return shipping will be free.

The seven-day reporting request does not replace the 30-day return window or limit applicable rights.

The new-and-unused condition and original-packaging requirement for change-of-mind returns do not automatically disqualify claims involving products delivered damaged, defective, incomplete, or incorrect.

16. Return Exceptions and Exchanges

Standard change-of-mind exclusions include personalized, engraved, customized, or made-to-order products; gift cards except where required by law; and products clearly identified as non-returnable final-sale items before purchase.

An ordinary discount does not automatically make an item non-returnable.

For a different product, you may return an eligible item for a refund and place a separate order. If we arrange a direct exchange, we will confirm availability, any price difference, and any replacement-delivery charge before proceeding.

These provisions do not remove rights relating to defective or incorrectly supplied products.

17. Order Cancellations

Email cancellation requests to sales@wildhuntsteel.com as soon as possible.

We will try to cancel before fulfillment begins. Cancellation may no longer be possible once processing has started.

Once shipped, an eligible product may be returned after delivery under our Return & Refund Policy.

Personalized, engraved, customized, or made-to-order work generally cannot be cancelled once production begins, except where required by law.

These conditions do not limit your rights when we cannot ship within the promised timeframe.

18. Accounts and Website Use

Keep your account credentials secure and notify us promptly of suspected unauthorized access.

You must not use our website to commit fraud, provide deliberately false information, infringe another person’s rights, distribute malware, collect personal information without authority, or bypass security controls.

We may restrict access where reasonably necessary to address misuse, security risks, or legal requirements. This does not remove rights relating to valid existing orders.

19. Reviews and Submitted Content

Reviews should reflect genuine experience and must not contain deceptive claims, unlawful content, or material that infringes another person’s rights.

You retain ownership of content you submit. You grant us permission to display and reproduce that content for operating and promoting our store, subject to our Privacy Policy and applicable law.

We may remove content that violates these Terms. We do not remove or alter a genuine review solely because it is unfavorable.

20. Intellectual Property and Third-Party Services

Website text, images, logos, designs, and other protected content belong to Wild Hunt Steel or their respective rights holders.

You may use the website for lawful shopping purposes. Other use of protected content requires permission unless allowed by law.

Our website may link to third-party websites or services. Their own terms and privacy notices apply to your use of those services. This does not exclude responsibilities we retain under applicable law.

21. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect personal information.

Shopify and other providers may process information as necessary to provide checkout, payment, and related services, as described in the applicable privacy notices.

22. Errors and Website Availability

We may correct inaccurate descriptions, prices, availability information, or other website errors.

If a material error affects your order, we will contact you and provide appropriate options. We will not substitute a materially different product without your agreement.

We aim to keep the website available and accurate but cannot guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation.

Nothing in this section overrides our shipping commitments, return terms, or obligations concerning products supplied.

23. Consumer Rights and Responsibility

Any express product warranty will be described with the relevant product or supplied documentation.

Nothing in these Terms excludes rights concerning defective products, inaccurate descriptions, delivery failures, refunds, or other matters that cannot legally be excluded.

Customers are responsible for appropriate handling and use. That responsibility does not release us from liability for our own conduct or obligations under applicable law.

24. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois and applicable United States federal law, subject to mandatory consumer protections.

Please contact us first so we can review a concern and attempt to resolve it.

Subject to applicable consumer rights, disputes may be brought before the courts having jurisdiction in or serving Cook County, Illinois. Nothing in these Terms removes access to an eligible small-claims process or other rights that cannot be waived.

25. Changes and Interpretation

We may update these Terms and will display the revised date on this page.

Updates will not retrospectively reduce the shipping, return, or refund rights applicable to an accepted order.

Our Shipping Policy governs detailed shipping arrangements. Our Return & Refund Policy governs detailed return and refund procedures. Product descriptions, checkout information, and these policies should be consistent; contact us if you identify a discrepancy.

If a provision is found unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply to the extent permitted by law.
